There’s something about Santa that instantly brings back childhood wonder—that feeling of staying up late, hoping to catch a glimpse, believing in the magic of Christmas. That’s what I wanted to capture in Magical Arrival—not just Santa himself, but the warmth, nostalgia, and excitement that come with him.
The soft glow of a twinkling Christmas tree sets the stage, casting its colorful reflections into Santa’s beard, as if he’s carrying the light of the season with him. His eyes are full of kindness, the kind that knows exactly who’s been good this year. The swirling background moves like a winter’s night—whimsical, timeless, full of wonder.
I worked with pastels on a gessoed hardboard to bring out the rich texture of Santa’s coat, the softness of his beard, and the energy of the scene. The colors play together to make it feel like he’s stepping right out of a storybook, bringing the magic of Christmas into your home.
This piece was a joy to create, and I hope it brings a little extra holiday spirit to anyone who sees it. Wishing you a magical and colorful Christmas season!
