Have you ever stood in a crowd on a cold winter night, waiting for a giant Christmas tree to light up? There’s a kind of magic in that moment—the crisp air, the excited chatter, everyone huddled together in coats and scarves, all looking up. Then suddenly, the lights flicker on, the tree glows bright, and for just a second, it feels like the whole city is standing still, taking it all in.
That’s the feeling I wanted to capture in this piece. The towering tree, covered in twinkling white lights, almost sparkles against the deep blue and purple sky. The red star at the top gives it that perfect holiday glow. And below, the crowd—bundled up, snapping pictures, watching in awe—because let’s be honest, no one justwatches anymore!
I love using color and texture to bring energy into my work, making it feel like you’re right there in the moment. If you’ve ever been to a Christmas tree lighting, I hope this brings you right back. And if you haven’t—well, here’s a little glimpse of the magic.
